The Ministry of Telecommunications and Information Technology has announced that the decision to reduce the rate of internet, voice calls and text messages has been implemented in Afghanistan.

Enayatullah Alkozi, the spokesperson of the Ministry of Telecommunications and Information Technology, wrote in a newsletter on his X user account yesterday that the ministry handed over new rates to the telecommunication networks a month ago, and during this period, they entered the new prices into the system and from January 1, 2025 to implement
Elkozi added that after examining the demand of citizens and telecommunication markets, a new ceiling has been set for telecommunication and internet services.

According to this decision, the rate of calls from one network to another has decreased by 30 to 36 percent, the rate of written messages by 60 to 68 percent, and the rate of activating each GB of Internet by 14 percent.
