In the context of an impending agreement regarding access to rare minerals in Ukraine, former U.S. President Donald Trump has unexpectedly changed his stance and stated that Russia has indeed launched an attack on Ukraine.

Trump, in an effort to end the war, said that Ukraine will soon sign an agreement with the U.S. regarding rare minerals.

Just last Thursday, Trump claimed that Ukraine should never have initiated the war and blamed Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky for the ongoing conflict.

However, on Friday, February 21, in an interview with Fox News, Trump stated, “Russia, under the orders of Vladimir Putin, has attacked Ukraine.”

He referred to both President Zelensky and former U.S. President Joe Biden, saying, “Russia attacked, but they should not have been allowed to do so.”

In the same interview, Trump emphasized that Ukraine will soon reach an agreement with the U.S. on its rare minerals.
