Hamas has accused Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of playing “dirty games” to end the ceasefire in Gaza.
Hamas stated that Israel is unwilling to engage in the second round of ceasefire talks for Gaza. The current ceasefire is set to end on March 1.
A senior member of Hamas’s political bureau, Bassem Naim, told Al Jazeera, “We are confident that once again, the right-wing Israeli government will try to weaken and sabotage the ceasefire agreements with their dirty games.”
He emphasized that Hamas remains committed to the ceasefire in Gaza.
Bassem Naim also accused Israel of killing more than 100 Palestinians during the first phase of the ceasefire, stating that humanitarian aid was not allowed to be delivered.
According to the ceasefire agreement, Israel is required to allow the delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza, and displaced individuals should be allowed to return to their homes.
