The residents of the Wars District in Bamyan have begun the construction of a 6-kilometer road that will connect this district to the Ashterly district of Daikundi, funded by their own personal expenses.
The Bamyan Governor’s media office announced on Sunday, 12th of Hoot, citing Syed Ghafor Hashimi, the district governor of Wars, that the road will be constructed at a cost of 2.5 million Afghanis by the local people. This road will connect the village of “Qara Ghojur,” located on the border between the two districts, to the Ashterly district of Daikundi.
At the same time, Abdullah Sarhadi, the governor of Bamyan, praised this initiative and the involvement of the people in constructing local infrastructure, calling it a sign of cooperation between the community and the local government.
This road is being built at a time when many of the transportation routes between the central provinces of Afghanistan, especially Bamyan and Daikundi, remain in very poor condition due to a lack of budget and resources.
