Israeli fighter jets carried out airstrikes on positions of forces loyal to former Syrian President Bashar al-Assad in the southern province of Daraa.
According to Al Jazeera, citing Syria’s state-run news agency SANA, the strikes took place on Monday night in two towns in northern Daraa, approximately 103 kilometers from the capital, Damascus.
SANA reported: “Israeli occupation warplanes launched multiple strikes in the vicinity of Jabab and Azra in northern Daraa.”
Meanwhile, the UK-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights stated that Israeli jets conducted around 17 airstrikes targeting two military posts of the former Syrian regime forces.
So far, no official information has been released regarding potential casualties or damages from the strikes.
Israel\u2019s Channel 24 reported that the attacks targeted Syrian military personnel, tanks, artillery, radar systems, arms depots, and other military equipment.
