Following Israeli attacks on southern Lebanon, at least five people, including a journalist, have been killed\u2014an incident that has further weakened the fragile ceasefire.
The Lebanese National News Agency reports that in one of the attacks, a vehicle in the village of Al-Tiri was targeted, killing its two occupants. Hours later, another airstrike hit a building in the same area, resulting in the death of \u201cAmal Khalil,\u201d a journalist for Al-Akhbar newspaper. In a separate attack on the town of Yahmor al-Shaqif, two more people were killed and several others were injured.
Al Jazeera reported today that two Al-Akhbar journalists had gone to the scene to cover the first attack when they were targeted during the second strike. \u201cZainab Faraj,\u201d another journalist, was transferred to hospital and is in critical condition.
Lebanon\u2019s Ministry of Health stated that the area where journalists had taken shelter was targeted, and even evacuation routes were bombed.
