United States Central Command (CENTCOM) has announced that U.S. forces have ended their defensive strikes against Iran.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In a post on the social media platform X, CENTCOM said the operations were conducted in response to the downing of a U.S. Army Apache helicopter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The command added that the strikes were a \u201cproportional response\u201d to recent attacks on U.S. forces and international commercial vessels transiting regional waters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to the statement, U.S. Air Force and Navy fighter jets used precision-guided munitions to target Iranian air defense systems, ground control stations, and radar sites near the Strait of Hormuz.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
CENTCOM also stressed that U.S. forces remain on high alert and are fully prepared to defend against what it described as \u201cunjustified Iranian aggression.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
