Nearly 40 Afghan citizens imprisoned in Pakistan have been released.

The Ministry of Refugees and Repatriates of the caretaker government has announced the release of nearly 40 Afghan citizens who were imprisoned in Pakistan.

In a statement today (Tuesday, 2 Dwali), the ministry wrote that 38 Afghan citizens who had been detained in Pakistan have been released and returned to the country yesterday.

According to the information from the Torkham Border Department, these individuals were arrested due to the lack of legal documents from various regions of Pakistan and had been detained for four days in the “Haji Camp.” After receiving humanitarian assistance, they were transferred to their original locations.
