A meeting between Afghan and Pakistani traders is set to take place today to discuss the reopening of the Torkham border crossing.
Shakirullah Sapi, the executive director of the Nangarhar Chamber of Commerce and Investment, stated that the second meeting between Afghan and Pakistani traders will be held today, Monday, the 27th, in the Torkham township on the Afghan side of the Durand Line.
According to Sapi, the meeting has been organized under the leadership of the Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Investment, with 27 Afghan traders and 37 Pakistani traders and tribal elders expected to participate.
This meeting comes after previous discussions between the two sides regarding the reopening of the Torkham border remained inconclusive or were canceled in recent days.
