A fire in a nightclub in North Macedonia has claimed the lives of 59 people and left 155 others injured.
Officials report that the incident occurred during a concert at a nightclub in the eastern city of Kočani.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs of North Macedonia stated that so far, the bodies of 39 victims have been identified, and the health condition of 18 injured individuals remains critical.
Preliminary findings indicate that the fire was caused by fireworks.
Authorities in North Macedonia have launched an investigation into the incident.
