The meeting between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Donald Trump at the White House was accompanied by a heated verbal dispute between the two leaders over the war with Russia.
During the meeting, Trump said, “You’re not in a good position. Right now, you don’t have the winning card. By being with us, you’ll start having the card.”
Zelensky responded, “I’m not playing cards, I’m very serious, Mr. President.”
The U.S. president continued, “You are playing cards. You’re gambling with the lives of millions, you’re gambling with World War III.”
After this exchange, Trump instructed his two advisors to tell Zelensky that it was time for him to leave.
