Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky arrived in Saudi Arabia yesterday for an official visit. He is set to participate in crucial negotiations today regarding the future of peace in Ukraine.
Zelensky’s visit to Saudi Arabia comes as U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio also traveled to the country last night to discuss ending the war in Ukraine and evaluating the conditions for a ceasefire.
Officials from all three countries are expected to discuss Ukraine’s willingness to accept a ceasefire and whether Kyiv is ready to offer concessions to Russia in exchange for peace.
Additionally, the negotiations will cover the rare mineral extraction agreement that was initially planned to be signed during Zelensky’s visit to the United States.
