Hamas officials have confirmed that an Israeli military air operation, which began last Tuesday, resulted in the death of Salah Al-Bardawil, a political leader of Hamas, in the Khan Younis area of southern Gaza.
Hamas-affiliated media also reported that Bardawil’s wife was killed in the same airstrike.
Israeli authorities have not yet commented on the incident.
