As the opposition of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad advances, the Wall Street Journal has reported that his wife and children have left the country for Russia.
Meanwhile, Egyptian and Jordanian officials have called on Assad to leave Syria and establish a government-in-exile.
Assad’s armed opposition has captured four Syrian cities and is advancing towards Homs near Damascus.
