The Ministry of Public Works has announced that the Takhār–Badakhshān highway, which was blocked in about 20 locations due to heavy rainfall and flooding around 8 AM yesterday, was cleared and reopened around 4 AM today after nearly 20 hours of continuous effort by personnel of the Badakhshān Directorate of Public Works.
According to the ministry’s statement, during the clearing operations, temporary alternative routes were also constructed in certain areas by technical teams to ensure the urgent passage of vehicles.
The blockage of this highway had caused significant disruption to vehicle movement. The reopening of the route has now restored transportation, allowing people to travel again.
