Reuters news agency, citing Ukrainian military intelligence, has reported that Ukraine has, for the first time, shot down a Russian fighter jet using a naval drone.
Ukrainian military intelligence has described this as the first incident in the world where a fighter jet has been hit by a naval drone.
Although the Russian Ministry of Defense has not officially commented on Ukraine’s claim so far, sources close to the ministry have confirmed the incident, stating that a fighter jet was shot down by Ukraine last night, approximately 50 kilometers west of Novorossiysk.
