More than 900 Afghan refugee families have returned to the country from different routes via Pakistan and Iran.

The High Commission for Addressing Refugee Issues told Bakhtar News Agency that 934 Afghan refugee families, totaling 5,184 individuals, were forcibly returned and entered the country through the crossings of Torkham (Nangarhar), Spin Boldak (Kandahar), Islam Qala (Herat), Abrisham (Nimroz), Angur Ada (Paktika), Bahramcha (Helmand), and other entry points.

He added that the commission’s committees have provided necessary services for these returnees.

He also noted that, following registration and biometric (fingerprint) processing, SIM cards and a certain amount of cash were distributed to the returnees, and appropriate measures were taken to transport them to their respective provinces
