Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced that the Iranian Foreign Minister, Seyed Abbas Araghchi, met and held talks with Tajikistan’s Foreign Minister, Sirojiddin Muhriddin, regarding Afghanistan.

During the meeting, the two sides emphasized the need to continue regional cooperation, especially concerning developments in Afghanistan.

According to reports, the meeting was held within the framework of the 14th Tehran Dialogue Forum and aimed to review the latest regional and global developments.

Both parties expressed concern over the recent developments in the Middle East and stressed the importance of expanding security, economic, and cultural cooperation between Iran and Tajikistan.

The Iranian Foreign Ministry stated that Araghchi and Muhriddin discussed ways to enhance economic and trade relations, develop cultural cooperation, and facilitate people-to-people ties. They also highlighted the deep cultural, linguistic, and civilizational commonalities between the two countries.
