According to Israeli media reports, Israeli authorities have decided to block a rare visit by foreign ministers from several Arab countries that was planned for the occupied West Bank.

The foreign ministers of Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Egypt, Jordan, Qatar, and Turkey were scheduled to meet with the Palestinian Authority in Ramallah this coming Sunday.

The aim of the visit was to bolster efforts toward the establishment of a Palestinian state, particularly in light of an upcoming UN conference next month organized by Saudi Arabia and France to push forward a two-state solution.

However, Israeli news outlets Walla and The Times of Israel, citing official sources, reported that Israel intends to prevent the delegation’s visit.
