The spokesperson for the Kandahar Department of Agriculture, Irrigation, and Livestock has reported that the smuggling of 790 sheep was prevented in the Spin Boldak and Registan districts.
According to Mohammad Hanif Haqmal, the department’s spokesperson, a group of individuals attempted to illegally transport 400 of these sheep through Spin Boldak district and the remaining 390 through the Darzi Gate of Registan district into Pakistan. However, the responsible authorities successfully stopped the smuggling attempt, arrested several individuals involved, and handed them over to the relevant judicial and legal institutions.
It is worth noting that, as a result of ongoing anti-smuggling campaigns along the borders, thousands of livestock have been prevented from being smuggled over the past month.
