Elon Musk, a billionaire and former special advisor to the Trump administration, has called the tax legislation backed by the U.S. president a “horrible disaster.”

Trump’s “big and beautiful bill,” which passed the House of Representatives last month by a single vote, extends the 2017 tax cuts and increases funding for the military, immigration enforcement, and border programs.

Musk, who was recently dismissed from Trump’s administration, wrote in a post on X: “Apologies, but I can’t tolerate this any longer. This massive bill is a terrible disaster, full of unnecessary concessions to Congress.”
