Reuters has reported that an Iranian official, familiar with the matter, said Iran has informed mediators from Qatar and Oman that it will not engage in ceasefire negotiations while under Israeli attack.
The official, who spoke on condition of anonymity, stated: “Iran has made it clear to the Qatari and Omani mediators that it will only consider serious negotiations after completing its response to Israeli strikes.”
The official also told Reuters that Iran has denied media reports claiming it had requested Qatari and Omani mediation with the United States to resume nuclear and ceasefire talks.
Iran has made it clear that it will not negotiate while under attack.
