According to reports, General Asim Munir is scheduled to have a private lunch with the former U.S. President Donald Trump behind closed doors at the White House, without media presence.
Asim Munir has been in the United States since June 14, and the meeting between him and Mr. Trump had been planned in advance. However, given the recent outbreak of war between Israel and Iran, a significant portion of their discussions is now expected to focus on developments in that conflict, as well as last month’s military clashes between India and Pakistan.

A few weeks ago, Asim Munir also met with Mohammad Hossein Bagheri, the Chief of Staff of Iran’s Armed Forces, who was killed during Israel’s initial attacks on Tehran.
