Iran’s Supreme Leader has declared the country victorious in its recent war with Israel. Ali Khamenei, the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic, announced the victory following the 12-day conflict between Iran and Israel, stating that despite Israel’s “hype and claims,” it was “almost crushed and paralyzed under the blows of the Islamic Republic.”

In his third statement since the war began, Khamenei said that the United States entered the war directly against Iran, claiming that Washington intervened because it felt Israel “would be completely destroyed” if it did not.

Khamenei emphasized, “The United States achieved nothing in this war. Once again, the Islamic Republic emerged victorious and delivered a harsh blow to the face of America.”

U.S. officials, however, offered a different view. A senior official from the U.S. State Department, speaking on condition of anonymity, said: Our involvement aimed at de-escalation and preventing further regional instability. Claims of defeat or victory are political narratives—we remain focused on protecting our allies and regional security.”
