Since the beginning of the war between Israel and Hamas, more than 62,000 Palestinians have been killed in Gaza, nearly 19,000 of them children.
The United Nations has warned that nowhere in Gaza is safe for children, and Israel’s blockade has caused severe shortages of food and medicine.
The UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) stated that its schools, which serve as shelters for thousands of displaced people, are being repeatedly targeted and have turned into places of death for children.
