Afghanistan’s Cultural Attaché in Turkey, Hamdullah Tamkin, met with Dr. Mustafa Ali Şarlı, the president of Bayburt State University in Bayburt province.
During the meeting, both sides discussed the historical and cultural relations between Afghanistan and Turkey. Dr. Ali Şarlı stated that currently, more than 500 Afghan students are studying at Bayburt State University in undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral programs in fields such as medicine, engineering, Islamic studies, economics, midwifery, and nursing.
He added that Afghan students are polite, talented, and intelligent, and have always demonstrated their abilities in the university’s academic and cultural programs.
