The military wing of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad movement, the “Al-Quds Brigades,” has claimed responsibility for rockets fired at Israel.
The group announced that it launched two rockets at the Israeli city of Netivot, stating the attack was part of a series of operations.
However, the group did not specify whether the rockets caused casualties or damage in Israel.
Earlier, the Israeli army reported that one of the rockets was intercepted mid-air, while the other landed in an open area, causing no harm.
The action by the Al-Quds Brigades has once again heightened security tensions in the region.
Relations between Israel and Palestine have recently deteriorated, and the rocket fire indicates that clashes in Gaza may further escalate.
