The Israeli army has escalated its attacks on Gaza City. Over the past 24 hours, buildings—including schools that had been converted into shelters by the United Nations—were leveled, leaving at least 49 Palestinians dead in these strikes.

Al Jazeera reported that more than six thousand Palestinians have also been displaced due to the relentless bombardment of Gaza City.

Mahmoud Basal, spokesperson for the Palestinian Civil Defense, said: “The residents of Gaza City are now living under siege and constant bombardment in extremely difficult conditions.”

Data from the Palestinian Ministry of Health shows that since the start of the conflict, 62,000 Palestinians have been killed in Israeli attacks.
