Abdul Rahman Qanat, Deputy of Policy and Programs at the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum, met with Mehrdad Akbaryan, head of Iran’s Coal Association, and Hossein Roustaei, a representative of the Iranian Embassy in Kabul. In this meeting, discussions focused on expanding economic cooperation, exploring and extracting minerals, and investing in Afghanistan’s mineral resources, with an emphasis on strengthening bilateral relations. The Iranian delegation stated that Iran’s private sector is interested in investing in Afghanistan’s mining sector.
