U.S. President Donald Trump has announced that both Israel and Hamas have agreed to the first phase of his proposed peace plan and have signed the agreement.
Trump wrote on the social media platform Truth: “I am very proud to announce that both Israel and Hamas have agreed to the first phase of our peace plan and have signed the deal. This means that all hostages will be released very soon, and Israeli forces will withdraw behind an agreed-upon line. This marks the first step toward a strong, lasting, and permanent peace.”
