The International Organization for Migration (IOM) has said that 1.5 million Palestinians in Gaza are currently in urgent need of shelter.
According to the organization, hundreds of thousands of people are returning to their homes in Gaza, but their houses have been destroyed, leaving them without proper shelter. Some have resorted to using makeshift tents made from flour and rice sacks for protection.
The IOM added that despite the announcement of a ceasefire, the delivery of humanitarian assistance remains hampered due to ongoing systemic restrictions.
