An armed attack was carried out on a Pakistani police vehicle in Karak district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, killing five police officers. According to reports, the attack took place in the Gurguri area of Karak district and targeted police personnel who were assigned to protect an oil and gas company. Reports also indicate that the police vehicle was set on fire after the incident.
Pakistan’s Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has confirmed the incident, stating that five police officers were killed in the attack on a police vehicle in Karak district. So far, no group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
