The U.S. President’s special envoy for the Middle East has announced the start of the second phase of America’s plan to end the Gaza war; a phase that includes the complete disarmament of Hamas, the establishment of a technocratic transitional administration, and the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip.
Stephen Witkoff, Trump’s special envoy, stated that the 20-point plan of the Donald Trump administration has entered a new phase, moving from a ceasefire toward disarmament, technocratic governance, and reconstruction.
Witkoff emphasized that Hamas must fulfill all its commitments, including the return of the last deceased hostage, and warned that failure to cooperate would have serious consequences.
Meanwhile, according to local Gaza officials, Israel has violated the ceasefire more than 1,190 times since its implementation in October 2025, preventing the entry of critical humanitarian aid into the region.
