Turkey’s foreign minister has said there are signs that Israel is seeking an opportunity to attack Iran.
Hakan Fidan, Turkey’s foreign minister, told a television network that during his recent visit to Tehran he raised these concerns directly with Iranian officials.
Earlier, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan also said in a phone call with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian that Ankara opposes any form of foreign intervention in Iran.
The statements by Turkish and Iranian officials come as verbal tensions between Iran, Israel, and the United States have increased in recent days, with reports also emerging about U.S. military movements in the Persian Gulf.
