Afghanistan’s permanent mission to the United Nations has submitted an official complaint to the UN Security Council in response to Pakistani airstrikes on Nangarhar and Paktika provinces.
Nasir Ahmad Faiq, acting head of Afghanistan’s permanent mission to the UN, stated that the complaint was delivered to the Security Council today (Monday, 4th of Hut / February 23).
He explained that this action follows Saturday night’s Pakistani attacks, which resulted in the deaths of several civilians, including women and children.
The acting head of Afghanistan’s UN mission emphasized: “We call for the immediate investigation of these violations, their cessation, accountability for the perpetrators, respect for territorial integrity, adherence to the UN Charter, and full implementation of international law.”
