Officials from Lebanon’s Ministry of Public Health say that at least 31 people have been killed and 149 others injured as a result of ongoing Israeli airstrikes on the country.
Israel stated that the attacks were launched with the aim of eliminating Hezbollah positions in Lebanon.
Meanwhile, Hezbollah said it had carried out an attack the previous day on a military base in Haifa, describing the operation as a response to the killing of Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei, and as an act of defense for the people of Lebanon.
