The head of the Afghan Red Crescent Society, Sheikh Shahabuddin Delawar, has said that a special hospital for the treatment of children suffering from congenital heart disease will soon be opened in Kabul. He also stated that a new agreement has been reached with India to send 15 children from Afghanistan there for treatment.
The organization says that since the beginning of last year, it has treated 2,002 children suffering from congenital heart disease. Currently, around 16,000 children across the country have been registered with this condition.
