The United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA) has announced that the Security Council will hold a meeting today to discuss the situation in Afghanistan.
UNAMA stated that the meeting will take place today, Monday (18 Hoot / March 9), and is scheduled to begin at 11:30 PM Afghanistan time.
During the session, Georgette Gagnon, Acting Head of UNAMA and Deputy Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General, will present a report on the situation in Afghanistan to the members of the Security Council.
