Bahrain’s Ministry of Interior has announced the arrest of four citizens accused of “espionage activities for the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).”
According to the ministry’s statement, the individuals were arrested for spying, including taking photographs of certain locations in Bahrain.
The statement further said: “Investigations showed that the first detainee, following organizational orders and with the help of others, used high-resolution photography equipment to capture images and record the coordinates of vital and important sites in Bahrain.”
The Ministry of Interior added that the recorded information was sent to Iran’s IRGC through encrypted software.
