According to reports, several explosions in Maiduguri, the capital of Borno State in northeastern Nigeria, have killed at least 23 people and injured more than 100. Al Jazeera reported that the blasts occurred near Maiduguri Teaching Hospital, two local markets, the post office, and the Monday Market. Security officials say initial information indicates the explosions were carried out by “suspected suicide attackers.” No group has claimed responsibility for the attacks so far.
