Antonio Guterres, Secretary-General of the United Nations, has said that conflicts in the Middle East inflict the greatest harm on those who had no role in starting these wars.
Guterres wrote today (Thursday, 26 March) on his X account that the poorest and most vulnerable people are suffering the most from the ongoing conflicts in the region.
He emphasized that war is not a solution and that a way must be found to end this “tragedy.” According to the UN Secretary-General, diplomacy, full respect for international laws, and efforts toward peace are the only ways to resolve this situation.
