Tahir Andrabi, spokesperson for Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, stated that the upcoming talks with Afghanistan in the city of Urumqi, China, are not low-level, as senior officials will participate.
He confirmed in a press briefing today (Thursday) that Pakistan has sent a delegation to the meeting.
Andrabi added, “The responsibility for addressing our concerns and taking action against groups lies with Afghanistan.”
Pakistani officials have consistently claimed that militant attacks in their country are organized from Afghan soil. However, the Islamic Emirate has rejected this claim, stating that insecurity is an internal matter for Pakistan.
