Iran has claimed that it has shot down more than 160 U.S. and Israeli drones.

The commander of Iran’s Joint Air Defense Headquarters, Alireza Elhami, stated that Iranian forces have so far downed over 160 American and Israeli drones, including Hermes and Lucas models.

Elhami warned that Iran’s air defense forces are prepared to confront advanced enemy fighter jets and drones.

In a statement published today (Saturday, April 4) by ISNA news agency, he said that Iranian forces have also destroyed several advanced fighter jets and dozens of cruise missiles.

According to him, the downing of these aircraft is “the result of tactics and the use of new equipment and innovations in Iran’s defense systems,” which has caused confusion for the “enemy.”

Elhami added that Iranian forces, using domestically designed methods and equipment for targeting fifth-generation aircraft and advanced unmanned systems, are fully prepared to defend Iran against aerial attacks.
