The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) of Iran has announced that any approach of military vessels toward the Strait of Hormuz will be considered a violation of a two-week ceasefire with the United States and will be met with a “firm and severe response.”
In a statement published by Iranian state media, it was said that this important maritime passage is under the “smart control and management” of Iran’s naval forces.
The IRGC emphasized that the Strait of Hormuz remains open for the safe passage of civilian ships, in accordance with specific regulations, but any military movement in this route will face a strong response.
