Rafael Grossi, Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency, has announced that North Korea has significantly increased its capacity to produce nuclear weapons.
According to Reuters, Grossi stated that Pyongyang has made a very substantial expansion in its nuclear weapons production capabilities.
Grossi noted that activities at the five-megawatt reactor, the reprocessing unit, the light-water reactor, and other facilities at the Yongbyon Nuclear Scientific Research Center have rapidly increased.
He added that data from the agency indicates that the country’s nuclear program includes dozens of nuclear warheads.
Previously, Kim Jong Un has repeatedly emphasized accelerating nuclear weapons production, describing it as essential to counter “enemy aggression.”
