The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan has delivered 530 tons of essential aid to the people of Gaza Strip through Egypt’s Rafah Border Crossing. The aid is expected to be distributed to around 22,000 families.
According to a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Afghanistan, the assistance was prepared following an order from the Prime Minister’s Office of the Islamic Emirate. A delegation procured the supplies and sent them to the Arab Republic of Egypt, from where they were transported into Gaza via the Rafah crossing.
The ministry stated that the shipment, valued at nearly $500,000, includes 530 tons of food items and clothing carried in 42 trucks, which will be distributed to approximately 22,000 families.
It was also reported that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has called on influential parties to make meaningful efforts toward establishing a ceasefire in Gaza.
