South Korea and Japan have announced that North Korea has fired several ballistic missiles toward the sea off its eastern coast.
International media reported that on Sunday, April 19, North Korea launched multiple missiles from near the city of Sinpo on its eastern coastline.
According to reports, this is the latest in a series of launches carried out by North Korea as it accelerates efforts to strengthen its military capabilities.
North Korea has conducted four missile tests this month and a total of seven ballistic missile tests this year.
Meanwhile, South Korea has stated that it held an emergency security meeting following the missile launches by North Korea.
