Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson, Ismail Baghaei, has stated that the country has no plans to participate in the scheduled talks with the United States.
Speaking at a press briefing on Monday, 31 Hamal, Baghaei said Iran does not accept any deadlines and will respond firmly to any “adventurism” by the U.S. and Israel. He added that “the United States, while claiming diplomacy and readiness for negotiations, is taking actions that do not indicate seriousness in pursuing a diplomatic process.”
The Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson emphasized that Iran will decide on its diplomatic path with the U.S. carefully and based on its national interests.
These remarks come as U.S. representatives reportedly traveled to Pakistan yesterday for talks with Iran. The first round of Iran–U.S. negotiations was held on 22 Hamal in Islamabad, but ended without any results.
