US Secretary of State Marco Rubio has said that if talks with Iran fail to produce results, Washington will take “another path.”
Rubio said on Monday in New Delhi that the proposal on the table includes the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz and the start of negotiations on Iran’s nuclear program.
His remarks come as Donald Trump has said the United States is in no rush to reach a deal with Iran and that the naval blockade in the Strait of Hormuz will continue until an agreement is signed.
Meanwhile, media outlets close to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) have reported that the US is still opposing some of Tehran’s demands, including the release of frozen Iranian assets.
