Syrian President Ahmad al-Sharaa has called for the removal of remaining sanctions on Syria and for increased international support for the country’s reconstruction process during a phone call with U.S. President Donald Trump.
According to Syria’s state news agency SANA, the two sides also discussed bilateral relations as well as recent regional and global developments.
Ahmad al-Sharaa stated that lifting the sanctions would accelerate Syria’s economic recovery and reconstruction efforts.
On the other hand, Donald Trump emphasized support for Syria’s stability, improving living conditions for its people, and backing reconstruction initiatives.
